Silent Hill 2 (PS5)
The 2024 remake of the 2001 psychological horror game, rebuilt from the ground up for PS5.
Bloober Team kept the story and the town but switched to an over-the-shoulder camera and rebuilt the combat, maps and puzzles. You play James, who comes to Silent Hill after getting a letter from his wife, who died three years earlier. If you want a horror game that's more unsettling than scary, this is the one to look at.

| Catch | It deals with heavy subjects like grief, illness and abuse, so it isn't a light play. The pace is slow on purpose, with lots of exploring dark buildings and solving puzzles, and the combat is fairly basic. It's a single-player story with nothing to do once you finish, apart from going back for the other endings. |
